New Radio in Ottawa

Thanks to Jeff for pointing this out to me, but Ottawa now has a new alt rock radio station which can be found on the dial at 88.5

They've even started slowly on the tv with commercials for live 88.5 - that's the name - they play a varied amount of new and slightly older alternative music. Actually, on the drive into work this morning, I heard the headstones, which I don't think I have heard since high school.

Awwww yeah! Let's hope they don't go the way of XFM.

I tried listening to the radio (88.5) for a bit, didn't work.

Video didn't kill the radio star, iPod killed the radio star.

what do you mean, didn't work?

Yes, my bad choice of words.
I did not like going back to the radio from my iPod is better.

I guess my hopes were too high for an alternative radio station...
Most of the music I heard was already stuff they play on the bear. Palmer had told me about it, telling me that he was listening to NIN on the radio, I heard 0 NIN songs while I was listening (a few commutes into work).

They played some radio edits to songs, yes I know it is a radio station, but it is also a pet peeve of mine, if you cant play all of the lyrics in the song, don't play it.

The percentage of music that I liked was also too low, and there was no button I can use to skip it.

I see. You are among a type of people I like to refer to as: iPodders.

The number of you are growing exponentially. Everyday I see masses of people with white wires hanging from the ears; which of course means they are logged into their pod.

I feel like I'm the only person on the planet who doesn't own one. Not that I really want one, just that I feel left out.
