He can be taught

With the coming of 10-digit dialing on the horizon, it is important to make some changes in our setup and telephone habits.

You should reprogram your telephone functions and communications equipment to comply with 10-digit dialing. Among other things, this means adding the area code to all stored directory numbers on cell phones, office phones and at home.

As of June 17, 2006
Start using 10-digit dialing for all local communications. If you dial only 7 digits, before your call is connected you will hear a recorded message reminding you to dial all 10 digits the next time.

As of October 21, 2006
10-digit local dialing is mandatory.

10-digit dialing is why I have stopped trying to remember phone numbers.

I think the human brain can only process 7 things at a time or something. Or maybe it's just me.

My parents are going to have to do this in London, ON soon too.

Bite your tongue! There's at least 360,000 there now. :P

The 519 area code covers a really big area. London is going to add another area code, like TO did with 647.
